According to the Divorce Records of Edward and Julia Frodsham Clara was four on her last birthday before the divorce.
The divorce was 13 JUL 1874. QV
In the 1880 census she is found living in Utah with Elizabeth Perry as an orphan and listed as Clara Frodshaw.
In 1900, she and her husband John Gray were living in Sumpter, Baker County, Oregon with her brother Frank Claudius aka
Claudius Edward Frodsham. They had a child Viva. We have a picture of Viva from Grandpa's trunk.
In the 1910 Census Clara Gray is age 40, born ca 1870, Born Utah, Head of Household, but married (he must have been away
- I have done no research on whether he was at war or just gone prospecting), Home in 1910 is New Plymouth, Canyon, Idaho,
white, female with child Vira (sic) P Gray age 13.
In the 1920 Census Clara Gray is living in Boise, Ada, Idaho, 49 years of age, estimated birth year 1871, relation
to head of household - mother-in-law. Father's birth place - Utah, mother's birthplace - Illinois. Widow, white,
female, able to read - yes, able to write - yes. Image 139.

I believe Clara died in Boise, Ada, Idaho on 26 APR 1929 (Idaho Death Index). Certificate #065652. This lists
her date of birth as 12 MAR 1870, which would correspond with the birth date on the divorce record. There was another
Clara Frodsham around the same time, but she was older and was in NY.
I have found wher Viva was listed as Viva Perry Gray. I have no proof that Perry was her middle name.
Viva Gray married J Ralph Steed on 1 AUG 1914 in Council, Idaho. This record can be found in the marriage book
at the County Courthouse located in Adams Co., ID in Volume 1 on Page 103. (I do not have a copy of this).

IGI at the LDS lists a Viva Perry Gray, birth 20 JUL 1896, Sioux City, Woodbury, IA (what doesn't connect is the
date of death for this person - 27 JAN 1969). Parents are listed as John Herbert Gray and Clara Julia Frodsham.
A John Ralph Steed is listed in the Utah Cemetery Inventory
