From The Nauvoo Journal 11 June 1998.  In regard to your inquiry of 9 May 1998, I don't have any reference in any of the magazines to James Frodsham, but am enclosing list of past issues and contents for you anyway.

From my records here at the office and in the LDS Historical Department, I found a few things for you, which you may already have.

James FRODSHAM is listed in some little-known Nauvoo records.  One is a daily log of persons entering the city as recorded by Willard Richards, beginning July 31st 1843 and ending January 22, 1846.  The other record is the names of persons who moved into Nauvoo and handed the clerk, Willard Richards, a certificate from their previous branch.  The certificate from James shows him coming from St. Louis and was signed 11 AUG 1845.

The LDS Historical Dept. Archives MS2981 fd 1, has a photocopy and micro film of the certificate of citizenship issued to James FRODSHAM 11 Jan 1868, Utah Territory District Court, 2nd Judicial District.

James was the captain of the 4th 10 of the 12th company (Harmon Cutler) in 1852 to cross the plains to Salt Lake.  There are no names shown with this company, but it included:  50 persons/15 wagons/3 horses/61 oxen/34 cows/0 sheep/34 1/2 pounds powder/17 poounds lead/11 guns/6 pistols/5 spades/5 shovels/4 dogs.  This is found in the "Journal History of the Church."

Jane Frodsham  died 6 JUL 1844 - age,  5 yr, 6 mo - drowned
Margaret Frodsham - died 11 AUG 1844 - age,  11 mo - convultion

Note:  James & Catherine had a daughter Margaret, but she was listed with the Harmon Cutler Company going to Utah in 1852.  She is listed as age 8 which would have had her born ca 1844.

Question - Did they have another daughter and also name her Margaret or was the Margaret who died the daughter of some other Frodsham?

As we progress the years - A Margaret Frodsham married John Porter Barnard.  They had a daughter Maggie Barnard who was married to Edward Frodsham.

Who were the Parents of Jane?
